Will there be snow when I want to come up?
Mt Buller is very confident that there’ll be snow for your holiday. In fact, we’re so confident that we offer a ski guarantee on pre-purchased lift tickets. So, you can buy your lift tickets in advance through Mt Buller AMS and if the conditions aren’t up to scratch, you’ll get a refund. Of course, some conditions apply, (for more details on the Ski Guarantee, look it up on www.mtbuller.com.au ) but we think this is a great way to show you how confident we are that you’ll enjoy your holiday in the snow.

Do I have to carry chains for the car?
Yes. Carrying snow chains in your vehicle during winter is mandatory; you will be asked whether you are carrying chains when you pay your resort entry. Chains can be obtained from Buller Sports in Mansfield, next door the the Cinema in Mansfield.

Where do I park my car?
After passing through the Resort Entry Gate you will travel, for approximately another 20 minutes, to parking control. Parking control attendants will direct you to your parking bay. Unauthorised vehicles are not permitted into the village.

Can I park my car in the village?
No, unauthorised vehicles are not permitted into the village.

How much are the parking fees?
Entry fee per vehicle is $30. Each extra weekday night (Sunday - Thursday inclusive) costs $6; each extra weekend night (Friday & Saturday inclusive) costs $12.

You will need to pay your parking fees when you will pass through the Resort Entry Gate at the base of the mountain. You will also pay for your oversnow/taxi fare. You will be asked whether you are carrying chains.

How do I get to the apartment?
A four-wheel drive taxi will pick you up from your car park within minutes. Advise the driver where you are staying. The 4WD over snow/taxi transfer fees are paid at the Entry Gate to the mountain (along with your car parking fee).

YOU MUST call 03 5775 3112 as you are about to board the taxi. This will allow us time to send a representative to your apartment so you can obtain the keys.

Please be very specific with your instructions to the taxi driver. Ask him to take you to the building your apartment is in, this can be found on your booking confirmation. If the taxi driver has any difficulties finding your apartment building, ask him to call us

How much are the taxi transfer fares?
Adult: $28 return; Child: $17 return.  Child age 4 - 13 years. (Children under 4 years are free of charge)

This taxi fee includes 2 items of luggage and skis/boots per person. Excess luggage will be an additional charge of $3.50 per item. Keep your return ticket to use when you depart.

Can I have a late checkout?
Unfortunately, no. Due to the demands placed on our cleaning staff, apartments need to be vacated by 10am on the day of departure to allow our staff time to prepare for our next visitors.

Can I checkin early?
Again, unfortunately, no. Our cleaning staff will not have your apartment ready for occupancy before 4pm on the day of your arrival.

Is there anywhere to store luggage?
Unfortunately, no, there isn't. We suggest the safest method to store your luggage is to leave your bags in your vehicle.  After skiing, you will need to go to the car to collect your luggage.  

How do I get around the village?

A free village shuttle bus operates around the village from 8am to 6pm daily.  You may carry skis, boots & poles but no luggage is permitted.

4WD Taxi service operates:
7am - midnight (Sunday - Thursday)
7am Friday - 3am Saturday
7am Saturday- 2am Sunday
Fares within the village: With Luggage - $8 per adult & $6 per child
Without Luggage - $6 per adult & $4.50 per child

Can I buy groceries on Mt Buller?

Absolutely.  The new FoodWorks Mt Buller (located at the base of The Blue Bullet 1 chairlift) opened Winter 2006.  FoodWorks Mt Buller is a full-service supermarket with grocery, fruit and vegetables, dairy, frozen, and ‘heat and serve’ meal options.  There is also an extensive liquor department with a beer coolroom and a range of Mitre 10 hardware products.  The owners also operate supermarket and hardware stores off mountain, so if they do not range a certain product on the mountain, they will get it in for you.

You can email or fax your orders in advance or you can have your groceries delivered.  Delivery is free for orders over $100.  A $5 delivery fee applies for orders under $100.  Payment must be made by credit card or in person prior to delivery.  Drop offs will be delivered to the location specified (in the case of multi-story apartments, groceries will be delivered to the base level).

What should I do about Ski School?
The Mt Buller SnowSports School is centrally located on Helicopter Flat, half way down Bourke Street, opposite the ABOM. It offers lessons for skiing and snowboarding for all standards and ages … it even offers free lessons in the Discovery Program.

What time are children’s lessons?
Bunyips (aged 3 to 5) and Buller Kids (6 to 14 year old ski or snowboard program)

Full Day: 9:30am-3:30pm

Half Day AM 9:30am-1:30pm

Half Day PM is 1:30-3:30pm

Children's Discover Skiing and Boarding, a two-hour lesson for first timers, begins at 11am.

All children need to be registered before lessons begin. Kids registration is 8:30-9:30am and 12:30-1:30pm. Buller Kids meet at 9:15am. To save you hassle and a few precious minutes, registration forms can be downloaded off the internet at www.mtbuller.com.au .

What time are adult lessons?
Adult Discover Skiing and Boarding, two hour lessons for first timers, begin at 9:00am, 11:00am and 1:30pm (but meet at the Snow Sports School 10 minutes early.)

Other class lessons for skiing and boarding are at 10am to 1pm and 1:30pm to 4:30pm, again try to be there 10 minutes early.
